The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Die Setter – Afternoon Shift to join our team at our Banyo facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll work closely with the Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality teams to prepare, set up, and troubleshoot injection moulding machines, ensuring efficient production with minimal waste.  

This full-time permanent role offering an hourly rate of $35 Base Rate + 15% Afternoon Shift Loading = $40.25 P/H

Shift Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm  
• Friday: 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm 

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup: Prepare machines for production and trials, ensuring compliance with specifications. 
• Machine Operation: Inserting dies, temperature selection, parameter set-up and corrective setting. 
• Quality Control: Conduct checks before production begins to ensure products meet high-quality standards.  
• Efficiency: Optimise  machine cycle times and minimize waste for improved manufacturing efficiency.  
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance, address breakdowns, and reduce downtime.  
• Collaboration: Work with the Leading Hand and Production Team to maintain production quantities and meet deadlines.  
• Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and tidy workspace, adhering to site standards.  

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for quality and safety. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with others to deliver exceptional results.  To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Hands-on experience in a similar role, with demonstrated injection mould setting experience.
• Solid mechanical/technical knowledge with strong problem-solving skills.  
• Results-oriented mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines.  
• Experience with injection moulding machines, including knowledge of make/brand and size/tonnage. (Please include details of the machines you’ve worked on in your application.)
• Current Forklift Licence preferred, for the right candidate we will support obtaining a licence. 
• Self-motivation and the ability to operate autonomously.  
• A strong focus on safety and quality.
